The sacrifice sasae is actually a sutemi-waza, so it requires tori to do a sacrifice movement to effect the throw. Some might say this is akin to uki-waza and they would be right. But a rose by any other name still smells just as sweet. You can call it a sacrifice sasae or uki-waza but it does involve a sasae action with your attack leg.
