When you are faced with an ai-yotsu situation, it can be hard to do a regular ouchi. The Switching Stance Ouchi reguires you to adopt an opposing stance. So a right-handed tori would deliberately take up a left-handed stance and a left-handed lapel grip on uke's right lapel.

Tori then does a little pulling feint towards uke's front before switching stances as he comes in with an ouchi. Tori's right hand should reach over and grab uke's shoulder blade area on his back.
