This is the standard form of ouchi-gari. It rarely works this way in actual randori but this version is a good training tool to develop good habits with the arms as well as the reaping motion with the legs.
In actual randori, various adjustments have to be made in response to uke's stance and gripping style. In subsequent postings on ouchi-gari, we will look at common scenarios and common variations in response to those scenarios.
